Every Fort Myers food list in one place: wings, pizza, Mexican, breakfast, burgers, Asian, desserts, bakeries and patios, alphabetical.

Last checked Oct. 9, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Fort Myers’s restaurants cluster downtown in the River District, on First Street, Hendry Street and Bay Street near the Caloosahatchee; along Cleveland Avenue, from Edison Mall south; on Colonial Boulevard; and around Six Mile Cypress Parkway, Dani Drive and The Forum near Interstate 75.

Each list below names every place we could confirm in that category, in alphabetical order, with its address, the hours it publishes and its phone number. We started from OpenStreetMap records inside the city limits, the same data behind our local directory, added places from the state’s food license and restaurant inspection records and the Edison Mall’s own directory, then checked each place against its own website on Oct. 9, 2026. Places with a Fort Myers mailing address outside the city limits, on south McGregor Boulevard, Summerlin Road and around Gulf Coast Town Center, are not included. We check the lists again every three months. Nobody pays to be on a list, and none of them is a ranking. Run a restaurant? Write to us to add or correct an entry.

The lists

Where to get wings. Seven places, from a wing shop on Fowler Street and a sports bar on Kernel Circle to a downtown pizzeria on Hendry Street and the delivery chains. Two list hours to 2 a.m.

Where to get pizza. Six places with eight locations: a coal-fired pizzeria on First Street and a New York-style slice shop on Hendry Street downtown, plus the delivery chains on Cleveland Avenue and Colonial Boulevard.

Mexican and Tex-Mex. Eight places, including a burrito shop, a cantina and a taco shop downtown, a sit-down restaurant at Edison Mall and the fast-casual chains at The Forum and on Dani Drive.

Breakfast and coffee. Twelve places: a diner and a coffee roaster at the Luminary Hotel, coffee shops downtown and on McGregor Boulevard, breakfast cafes on Dani Drive, a 1950s-style diner and a 24-hour Waffle House.

Where to get burgers. Eleven places, from a burger restaurant on First Street downtown to a burger and frozen custard restaurant on Six Mile Cypress Parkway and the drive-thru chains.

Sushi and Asian. Five places we could confirm, at The Forum, in the Edison Mall food court and on Six Mile Cypress Parkway. Most sushi bars with a Fort Myers address are outside the city limits.

Bakeries. Four places: a Cuban bakery on Cleveland Avenue, two doughnut shops and a Bundt cake shop.

Patios and outdoor dining. Six places whose own sites list a patio or outdoor seating, including an open-air food truck yard on Bay Street and dockside dining on the river.

Brunch. Where and when brunch is served, from Sunday gospel brunch on Bay Street to brunch-only cafes on Daniels Parkway.

Date night. Dinner downtown and on McGregor Boulevard, a show at Florida Rep’s Arcade Theatre and rooftop drinks over the river.

Restaurant inspections. How the state inspects Fort Myers restaurants, what the results mean and how to look one up.

There is no barbecue list yet: we could confirm only two barbecue places inside the city limits, and neither has a website we could check. We will try again at the next refresh.

Frequently asked questions

Where are the restaurants in Fort Myers?

Inside the city limits they cluster downtown in the River District, on First Street, Hendry Street and Bay Street; along Cleveland Avenue and Colonial Boulevard; and around Six Mile Cypress Parkway, Dani Drive and The Forum near Interstate 75.

Are restaurants on McGregor Boulevard and Summerlin Road on these lists?

Only those inside the city limits. Many places with a Fort Myers mailing address, on south McGregor Boulevard, Summerlin Road, South Cleveland Avenue past Page Field and around Gulf Coast Town Center, are in unincorporated Lee County, so they are not on our lists.

Where can I eat outside by the river in Fort Myers?

Oxbow Bar & Grill at 1300 Hendry St. calls itself dockside dining on the Caloosahatchee, and Bay Street Yard is an open-air bar and food truck park on Bay Street. See our patios and outdoor dining list.

Are these lists rankings?

No. Every list is alphabetical, checked against each place’s own website or the state’s license records, and nobody pays to be on one.
