Brunch in Fort Myers runs along three lines: downtown in the River District, where Bay Street and the riverfront at Hendry Street have weekend brunch and Sunday gospel brunch; McGregor Boulevard, the long palm-lined road south from downtown; and the Daniels Parkway area in south Fort Myers, where breakfast-and-brunch cafes open early every day.

Downtown and the River District
Fancy’s Southern Cafe, 2214 Bay St. A Southern restaurant downtown that holds a Gospel Brunch every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with brunch and fellowship, according to its website. It also lists a bourbon selection and an organic wine menu. Reservations: 239-208-2564.
Oxbow Bar and Grill, 1300 Hendry St. Dockside dining on the Caloosahatchee at the edge of downtown, with river views. The River District’s brunch listing says it serves coastal food for brunch, lunch and dinner. Oxbow’s own site lists hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Phone: 239-314-3856.
Ella Mae’s Diner, Luminary Hotel, 2200 Edwards Drive. The hotel’s ground-floor diner, with access from Bay Street, puts a lighter touch on classic American diner food and is open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, according to the hotel. Hotel: 833-918-1512.

McGregor Boulevard
Cristof’s on McGregor, 10231 McGregor Blvd. A neighborhood restaurant run by chef and owner Cristof Danzi, who was born in Sicily. It serves Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., then stays open until 8:30 p.m. on Sundays. Monday to Saturday it serves lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Reservations: 239-791-8473.
First Watch, 13211 McGregor Blvd. The breakfast, brunch and lunch chain lists hours of 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every day and an online waitlist.
South Fort Myers
Artisan Eatery, 8951 Daniels Parkway. A cafe that says it serves brunch only, seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Co-owner and chef Timothy Yoa trained at the Art Institute of Philadelphia’s culinary school, according to the restaurant. Phone: 239-887-4844.
