Mother’s Day 2027 is Sunday, May 9. In Fort Myers the weekend lines up neatly: an Art Walk with artist vendors downtown on Friday night, two farmers markets on Saturday morning, and on Sunday the last performance of a Noel Coward comedy in the River District. Brunch menus come later; we will list them here as restaurants post them.

Gifts and markets

  • River District Art Walk. The River District holds Art Walk on the closed streets around First and Hendry on the first Friday of every month, with artist vendors and the Children’s Entrepreneur Market, according to its listing. In May 2027 that is Friday, May 7.
  • Fort Myers Culinary District Farmers Market. Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., downtown, per the city’s listing.
  • McGregor Local Farmers Market, 5011 McGregor Blvd. Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Alliance Morning Market, Alliance for the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd. An artisan market on the third Saturday of each month, which in May 2027 is the Saturday after Mother’s Day, May 15. Alliance for the Arts: 239-939-2787.

Theater

Florida Repertory Theatre closes its season with Noel Coward’s Private Lives in the ArtStage Studio Theatre, 2268 Bay St. Previews run April 6-8, and the production runs April 9 to May 9, 2027, so Mother’s Day is the last chance to see it. The theater describes it as the story of a divorced couple who meet by chance while honeymooning with new spouses at the same hotel. Box office: 239-332-4488.

Gardens

The Edison and Ford Winter Estates, 2350 McGregor Blvd., are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m., according to the estates’ website. The grounds include the Moonlight Garden pictured on this page, designed for Mina Miller Edison. Estates: 239-334-7419.

No Fort Myers restaurant or venue had posted a Mother’s Day 2027 menu or event when we checked, which is normal for October.
