The classic Fort Myers date night is downtown: dinner in the River District, a show at the Arcade Theatre, then a drink on a rooftop over the Caloosahatchee, all within a few blocks. McGregor Boulevard has the quieter dinner, and the Edison and Ford Winter Estates is the place for a walk under the lights in the holiday season.

Florida Repertory Theatre, 2268 Bay St. Two stages, the Historic Arcade Theatre and the ArtStage Studio Theatre. The 2026-27 season runs Sept. 18, 2026, to May 9, 2027, from comedies and thrillers to musicals of the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. Box office: 239-332-4488.
