Fort Myers’ night out centers on downtown’s River District, where bars, a taproom, a theater company and an amphitheater share a few brick-paved blocks, with the biggest stage and more taprooms and bars in south Fort Myers. Twice a month the downtown streets close for Art Walk and Music Walk, which are free.

Music Walk and Art Walk

The River District closes the streets around First and Hendry on two Fridays a month:

  • Music Walk: third Friday, 6 to 10 p.m. Soloists, singers, DJs, full bands, drummers, trios and duets. Next: Nov. 20 and Dec. 18, 2026.
  • Art Walk: first Friday, 5 to 9 p.m., with art, music and artist vendors. Next: Nov. 6 and Dec. 4, 2026.

The biggest downtown night of the year is the Downtown NYE Celebration, with five stages and fireworks at midnight.

Comedy

Florida Rep Stand-up Nights, 2271 First St. Florida Repertory Theatre presents comics from The Comedy Zone, according to the River District’s listing. Shows run about 120 minutes, carry a two-drink minimum and are recommended for ages 16 and up; the listing warns of coarse language and adult content. The next is 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2026.

Taprooms and bars

  • Millennial Brewing Company, 1811 Royal Palm Ave. Downtown taproom open 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, closed Monday to Wednesday. It hosts live music, trivia, food truck rallies and release parties and posts them on Facebook first.
  • Fort Myers Brewing Company, 12811 Commerce Lakes Drive. It calls itself Lee County’s first and largest craft brewery, makes its own beers and hard seltzers, and welcomes families and leashed dogs. Phone: 239-313-6576.

Gulf Coast Town Center

The shopping center at 9903 Gulf Coast Main St. in south Fort Myers has two late-night options, according to its directory:

  • GameTime Fort Myers: a 22,000-square-foot entertainment center with a restaurant, a full liquor sports bar with more than 60 TVs, an arcade of more than 120 games and mini bowling.
  • The World Famous Cigar Bar: cigars, a full bar and a daily happy hour from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
