Eight Mexican and Tex-Mex places inside Fort Myers city limits: First Street and Hendry Street downtown, Edison Mall, The Forum and Dani Drive.

Last checked Oct. 9, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Mexican food in Fort Myers clusters downtown, where a burrito shop and a cantina face each other on First Street and a taco shop sits in the Richards Building on Hendry Street. The rest are on Cleveland Avenue, at The Forum off Colonial Boulevard and on Dani Drive near Six Mile Cypress Parkway.

How we made this list. We started with OpenStreetMap records inside Fort Myers’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, and added places from the state’s food license and restaurant inspection records and from the Edison Mall’s own directory. Places with a Fort Myers mailing address on South Cleveland Avenue past Page Field and on Summerlin Road are in unincorporated Lee County, so they are not here, and several taquerias inside the city have no website, so we could not check their hours yet. We checked each place against its own website on Oct. 9, 2026; one with no website is confirmed by its state license. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to add or correct your entry.
