Ice cream and desserts in Fort Myers cluster on South Cleveland Avenue, where an Italian ice shop, a doughnut shop and the Edison Mall sit within a couple of miles, and on Six Mile Cypress Parkway near Colonial Boulevard, with a cake shop and a frozen custard stand. A Dairy Queen is out east on State Road 82.

How we made this list. We started with OpenStreetMap records inside Fort Myers’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, and added places from the state’s food license and restaurant inspection records and the Edison Mall’s own directory. We checked each place against its own website on Oct. 9, 2026. Where a chain’s location page would not load for us, the table says so; those locations hold current state licenses. Places with a Fort Myers mailing address outside the city limits are not here. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Culver’s on Six Mile Cypress Parkway serves fresh frozen custard along with its ButterBurgers. The lobby, curbside pickup and drive-thru all list hours to midnight.

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill on State Road 82 holds a current state license, inspected in March. Its location page would not load for us, so check hours on the chain’s site. The state record gives the street number as 11553.

Happy Scoop/Caribbean Paradise Smoothies is an ice cream and smoothie counter in the Edison Mall food court. It holds a state license, inspected in August.

Krispy Kreme on South Cleveland Avenue sells fresh doughnuts and coffee, with a drive-thru that closes 15 minutes before the shop. Its hot light is on from 7 to 9 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. daily.

Nothing Bundt Cakes on Six Mile Cypress Parkway has baked Bundt cakes, Bundtlets and Bundtinis in Fort Myers since 2020. It offers pickup, delivery and catering.

Rita’s Italian Ice on South Cleveland Avenue is part of the Italian ice and frozen custard chain. It holds a state license, inspected in September; its location page would not load for us, so check hours on the chain’s site.
