Father’s Day 2027 is Sunday, June 20. In Fort Myers that puts it in the middle of the minor league baseball season at Hammond Stadium and about three weeks after the last day of school. Henry Ford’s winter home on McGregor Boulevard is open, and we will add car shows, brunch and events here as they are announced.

Baseball

When the Minnesota Twins finish spring training, Hammond Stadium at the Lee County Sports Complex becomes home to the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, a Twins minor league team. Lee County’s ballpark page says the Mighty Mussels open at home in April and play until early September. The 2027 home schedule, including whether the team is home on Father’s Day weekend, will be at milb.com/fort-myers.

Cars and history

The Edison and Ford Winter Estates, 2350 McGregor Blvd., keep Henry Ford’s winter house, the Mangoes, next to Thomas Edison’s. The estates are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m., according to their website.

The estates’ Antique Ford Car Show, pictured on this page, is a winter event: the 2026-27 calendar lists it for Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027. No car show had been announced for Father’s Day 2027 when we checked. Car clubs and venues holding one can send us the details.

Brunch and dinner

No Fort Myers restaurant had posted a Father’s Day 2027 menu when we checked, which is normal this far ahead. We will add them here from each restaurant’s own website. Outdoors

  • Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, 7751 Penzance Blvd.: a boardwalk walk through a cypress wetland, early in the day before the heat. See walking and biking trails.
  • Lakes Park, 7330 Gladiolus Drive: open 7 a.m. to dusk, with the splash pad from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the kids, according to the county’s park page.
