Spring break 2027 for Lee County public schools runs Monday, March 22, through Friday, March 26, and Monday, March 29, is also a day off for students. Classes resume Tuesday, March 30. Easter Sunday, March 28, falls inside the long break.

Camps

Edison and Ford Winter Estates, 2350 McGregor Blvd. The estates’ school break camps are science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) camps for students in kindergarten through fifth grade:

  • Robo Rangers Spring Break Camp, March 22-26, 2027: campers work in small groups to design and code a Lego robot for a series of challenges.
  • Engineer It! Day Camp, Monday, March 29, 2027: a day of engineering design activities.

Campers bring their own lunch. Members of the estates get discounted registration.

Lee County Parks and Recreation’s camp page did not list 2027 spring break camps when we checked.

Spring training

The Boston Red Sox play spring training at jetBlue Park and the Minnesota Twins at Hammond Stadium at the Lee County Sports Complex, both in Fort Myers. Lee County’s spring training page says schedules are generally released in mid-November, with single-game tickets on sale in late December or early January. We will add the 2027 home dates over spring break when the teams publish them.

Things to do

  • Lakes Park, 7330 Gladiolus Drive: open 7 a.m. to dusk, with a splash pad (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.), walking paths around the lake and a miniature train in the Train Village. Parking is $1 an hour or $5 a day, according to the county’s park page.
  • Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, 7751 Penzance Blvd.: a boardwalk through a cypress wetland. See our walking and biking trails guide.
